INDIGO CHILDREN PRE-ORDER CUTOFF and A NEW BOOK ANNOUNCED
Monday March 6th last day to guarantee a copy!
Writing another one of these because we’ve had quite a bit of news coverage and some important dates coming up. First things first: THIS MONDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO PRE-ORDER INDIGO CHILDREN #1 and MAKE SURE THEY GET A COPY IN FOR YOU.
If you’re reading that and wondering what the fuck it means, don’t worry because you’re not alone. Basically the way comic shops order books is a bit wild and crazy, and they have to finalize their orders a MONTH BEFORE THE BOOK IS EVEN OUT. Which makes it hard for them to gauge interest on things. And adds up to a lot of guess works. It’s why letting them know you want a copy will A) make sure they have one on release day and B) Let them know that there’s excitement for the book. That second part is more beneficial for me than it is for you, but regardless.
Anyways how about I shut the fuck up and show you a preview of how good the book is? Sound cool? Cool.
There you have it, the first eight pages of the book. Hell of an opening right?
Well that’s not all. We asked some of our favorite creators to read the book to say something if they liked it. A bunch of them did.

PLEASE CONSIDER LETTING YOUR SHOP KNOW YOU WANT TO PRE-ORDER A COPY, SO I DON’T HAVE TO TAKE A JOB AT ARBYS. NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT BUT I LIKE WHAT I DO AND WE COULD USE SOME HELP. CREATORS SHOULDN’T HAVE TO WRITE BATMAN TO MARKET THEIR INDY COMICS. THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING MY TED TALK.
ANOTHER NEW BOOK: YOU’VE BEEN CANCELLED with MAD CAVE STUDIOS
This was announced at comicspro, I believe. A week or so back.
It’s a book I’ve been working on for a while that’s a crazy ultraviolent social satire about a future where people vote on who they want “cancelled” and then bounty hunters compete on a live stream to kill the target for a bunch of money.
It’s obviously a completely over the top satire, but still, took us a bit to find the right match. We finished the first two issues before we even had a publisher on board.
A collaborator and buddy mentioned having a good experience working with Mad Cave and so we started talking a bit and they picked the book up. It’s been a good experience so far and I’m grateful to them for taking the book on and championing original ideas.
Here’s the first couple pages:
Anyways got a big orange bar at top of screening telling me the email is too long so that’s all for today. More soon. Be well. -C
